Results are instant from the first treatment. In general, results will last from 6 to 9 months and even up to one year depending on individual skin type factors, such as age, and lifestyle.
What is PROFHILO® h+L?
PROFHILO® is the first stabilized hyaluronic acid (HA) based product which is manufactured without the use of chemical cross-linking agents (BDDE) and is used for skin remodeling and treating skin laxity, not for just filling lines and wrinkles. According to the manufacturers, it delivers dramatic improvement in tissue quality, even in challenging areas, and is complementary to other aesthetic treatments and dermal filler procedures. It is safe, effective and groundbraking in anti-ageing medicine. IBSAs hyaluronic acid is an ultrapure grade hyaluronic acid, produced through a patented bio-fermentation process, of Streptococcus Zooepidemicus, which ranks worldwide as top quality in terms of purity, safety and its high resistance to thermal production processes.
What makes PROFHILO® h+L different?
Its formulation! The formulation of HA with different molecular weights contained in PROFHILO® is based on a concept of Hydrolift® Action. This innovative approach is aimed at counteracting the physiological reduction of HA in the skin, restoring hydration, elasticity and skin tone, by associating, in a synergistic way, deep hydration with the mechanical action of lifting the skin.

Is there a recommended treatment method?
A treatment cycle consists of at least 2 applications at intervals of 4 weeks. A booster treatment is recommended after 4 to 6 months.
Is PROFHILO® h+L cross-linked HA?
Absolutely not. Profhilo is developed using a patented technology resulting in hybrid cooperative complexes between high molecular weight HA and low molecular HA without the use of any chemical cross-linking compounds. These complexes increase the stability of HA to enzymatic and mechanical degradation.
Is PROFHILO® h+L a filler or biorevitalizer?
Neither. Profhilo is something new and indicated for skin bioremodeling. Therefore, defining Profhilo in either of these two areas is a losing strategy.
Which injection layer is suggested for PROFHILO® h+L?
Deep dermis-superficial subcutaneous: needle depth 3 mm.
Can I use PROFHILO® h+L with other techniques?
Yes. Many doctors are using a cannula with the linear retrograde technique. It is important to avoid injecting too superficially.
Which age is indicated for PROFHILO® h+L?
40-50 years. But it is also really effective with younger and older patients.
Should the injected area be massaged after the treatment?
It is usually unnecessary. If the injected bolus is visible, a very delicate massage could help spread the product faster.
When are the results noticeable?
After 1-2 days, but the full effect can be seen after one week. In some patients the improvement is not visible after one treatment: for this reason we suggest 2 treatments.
How long do the results last?
4-6 months. According to the instrumental and clinical data collected, the results are still visible two months after the second treatment.
